EXTREME COUPONING!!

I currently have this show on, and it is so crazy! I can't turn it off because it is unbelievable to me. These people get hundreds of dollars worth of groceries and toiletries, and spend pennies paying for it all! Granted, I would never spend the time doing this. They have to collect the newspapers, print off and cut out millions of receipts, so much that most people have a "journal" so they can keep track of all the different categories the coupons portray too. They have stock piles that take over rooms and their garages because they buy so much excess to cater to the coupons. To me, this show is no different than hoarding or any other kind of obsessive behavior. Although it does make me think I should pay a little bit more attention to coupons available to me!

  1. My mother, although not this extreme, is definitely a coupon-er. I love it when she gets me great organic shampoo for a buck a piece, but find it excessive when she buys 10 lbs of coffee and 6 prime ribs for the freezer. Although thrifty getting prime rib for $3/lb, there's only so many freezers one can buy and fill before it turns to hoarding. Thankfully she's not there yet, and only has one freezer.
